After almost 7 days of keeping the news covert, Kim Kardashian broke the news to People magazine today: she and her basketball player dude Kris Humphries are engaged. Kim told People that Kris proposed on bended knee with “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” written in rose petals beside him. Humphries then bestowed his lady love with a preposterously big, 20.5 carat diamond ring supposedly worth $2 million to seal the deal (for point of reference, that’s almost half the size of the famous Hope Diamond, which weighs in at 45.52 carats). Seeing that Kris is 6’9″ and Kim’s famous for the cinch of her gluteus maximus, seemingly only the largest of rings would do!
